Maine Lobster Social Content

Everyone knows Maine Lobster, but do they know what makes it taste so delicious? During my time at Weber Shandwick, I worked with our digital team to develop a series of social campaigns that captured the unique conditions that make their lobster world-renowned. Goals of our campaigns included:

Showcasing sustainability
Educating the audience on the Maine lobstermen’s environmentally responsible practices, including tail notching, size limits and safe harvesting methods.

Bringing you on the lobster boat
Lobstering isn’t just about a meal, it’s a way of life. We answered questions like: What time does a lobsterman wake up? How did they become a lobsterman? Who else works on a lobster boat? Do lobsters really grow their limbs back? (Answer: yes).

Telling the Maine New Shell story
Maine is known for its rocky shores and pristine, cold waters. After a lobster molts, that seawater fills the gap between the meat and the new shell, naturally marinating it. The result? Sweet, tender meat with a distinctly Maine flavor.

Creating inspiring recipes
Our team collaborated with chefs from all over the country to develop new recipes and re-imagine the classics. We also covered the basics, like how to break down a lobster and cooking methods.

As creative lead, I was responsible for creating detailed mood boards, briefs, finding talent, art directing photo and video shoots, and post-production.
